Just a quick question.
This book, will it contain issues one through five, or just issue five?
I’m just curious if it’s more like a multi-issue comic collection, or just a single-issue comic book.
Since practically every comment has been complaining, questioning or reassuring the writer, I’m gonna go ahead and say something completely different; is it just me or does Sahira’s expression make it look like she never noticed she had breasts before?
Is there going to be any possible way to read chapter or issuse 5 without buying the book!?!
Dude, i’ve never done this on a comment untill now…….PLEASE, PLEASE, have mersy and please post the chapter 5 somewhere were we can read the whole thing, i could cair less if you put it on a websit that has the slowest conecttion i really want to read it, and dude there are thousands of fans that want to read that and you have to be so mean as to make it acsessible in a book only, i would be jumping for joy if yoi could post it on the website. Look i know you make a living of writing this but come on have a heart and make your fans day and let use see what we have been missing. The book has been out for months not i think you could cut use some slack and post chapter 5.
Well thanks , anyway thanls for responding to my recent comment, it fells good to know that people are reeding these comments and not just complani.g, well just keep this story going and keep me posted in cass they do put chapter 5 up on the internet, well thanks for reading my comments, as long as this story keps going like this and this intresting I will be reading all the one I cant, from a fan
Things would be better if we hadn’t been in a Recession to Depression right now. I for one would like some super heroes to get us out of this instead of the Big Dicks in Washington DC who who blather on about the deficit instead of jobs and businesses. I love this comic.
these should be sold in stores so more people could purchase them
I know I would! I hate having to buy cards just to make online purchases that take ages to be delivered
but either way I am glad that some webcomics can make money by being great
whenever I finally get around to buying a domain name and making a site to upload mine I’ll be way too lazy to charge for anything
plus it probably won’t be near as great -_-
I was going to buy the eBooks for Spinnerette. However, my browser warns the site is a phishing site. I let it navigate there anyway and it immediately forwards to Paypal. It’s pretty suspicious looking. Perhaps it is all fine but, as it is, with the phishing warning and the bouncing around, I just can’t trust it.
I’d really like to support the comic, I think it’s fairly amusing. I’d personally have no problem paying $15 per book if you published it on Apple iBooks or something. Comixology would be awesome too, if that’s even a possibility.
Until something changes with the way the books are sold, though, I just can’t make a move. I’d really like to continue reading…
Ridiculous? It’s 30% to Apple and 70% to the seller for iBooks and you pay zero fees for transfers, unlike Amazon. That’s more than fair, far more than any publisher would ever pay with buyers able to use a legitimate and well trusted, convenient mechanism for purchasing the books. It’s worthwhile.
Exactly, 30% is completely ridiculous. I spend 2 hours writing a page, Walter spends 8 hours pencilling and inking it, and Gonzalo spends 4 hours toning and lettering it.
If the ghost of Steve Jobs chips in 6 hours per page for an e-book, I’ll consider giving Apple a 30% cut.
Oh and FWIW, my browser uses the same phishing database as Chrome and no longer reports the site, so I’ve gone ahead and bought the books.
Still, it’d be great to see more indy stuff for sale through more convenient and, frankly, legitimate avenues. I never even considered paying for comics until Comixology came along… it’s really hard to beat reading comics on a retina display iPad
Just found this webcomic recently, and I’m loving it! I’m VERY happy to pay $4.95 for the occasional eBook. You guys do INCREDIBLE work! Here’s hoping the quality keeps up… (No spoilers please!)
KrazyKrow: Exactly, [Apple charging] 30% is completely ridiculous.
It is and THEY DON’T CARE!!!
It’s just greed, pure and simple.
Some of the fees collected is invested in the company and the bulk of it is likely blown on wasteful mass advertising, a multibillion dollar industry that ultimate causes MORE problems than it solves!
Push-based advertising is dead…the internet KILLED it!
We have the internet, search engines, and word of mouth.
This is why Google Adwords is so WILDLY successful because it is pull-based. If you search on Google for X they will show you ads for X because it is relevant to what you are searching for. If you are a ‘hardcore’ Google user, you will ignore these ads because they didn’t come up ‘organically’ in the search results.
For people not able to get online (easily), there are (cell)phones, phonebooks, their five senses, and word of mouth.
I found my way here after seeing one of the characters in this webcomic fanarted by ANOTHER webcomic artist. This is the use of one of the five senses along with a variation of word of mouth.
I probably NEVER would have come here if that series of events HAD NOT happened. I virtually NEVER click on any sort of advertising unless the ad copy or the banner ad TRULY piques my interest (which is ALMOST never).
A search engine that can replace Google would have to offer Google-quality web searches minus all the advertising and ‘spamdexing’ that plagues it and makes it less effective.
Google started out as a search engine that added advertising later…
Now Google is an ad agency that currently has the world’s best internet search engine ‘bolted’ onto it. Take the search engine away and Google will either collapse and disappear or join the other ‘MAD MEN’ in New York City….
Where do we buy the book? I would love to know what happened but I can’t seem to find it in the store or on the site?
Just a quick question.

It’ll be a 1-5 collection.
I have to agree with anyone who cannot get shipping.
this ruptures the storyline for me, and i cannae read this now. Time to find a “friend” who can give me a copy of his/hir/it/her copy.
Since practically every comment has been complaining, questioning or reassuring the writer, I’m gonna go ahead and say something completely different; is it just me or does Sahira’s expression make it look like she never noticed she had breasts before?
so I didn’t really notice it until it was pointed out to me, but why does Sahira have yellow eyes?

Nope, book sales provide most the funding for the comic. Walter works hard on this, and deserves a decent page rate.

P.S forgive my spelling my computer lagged, I ment to say I will read all the ones I can.
Sorry, for any misunderstanding

Guys, cool down, this doesn’t have to do with the current plot!
For anyone late to the party, you can now download this as an ebook for 4.95 from this site’s store.
too bad I don’t have 4.95… or a credit card, for that matter. really sad. oh, well.
I’m not easily ipmesrsed but you’ve done it with that posting.

No such warning from Chrome or Google on my end.
Apple takes a pretty ridiculous cut to make an iBook, as does Amazon.

That chapter better be just filler/backstory, otherwise, that’s just wrong
It is.

…now I must purchase, shees.
I just discovered this and I LOVE IT
so I absolutely gotta get this… time to hope my commissions pick up.
