I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to figure out anyways on her own anyways but did MM already know that Heather lived there before the last couple chapters? Just a question.

It’s entirely likely she did. She could also have found out in the past week.

      Wolf.Spider said:

Yeah I guess all the mixed signals are confusing me a bit…Heather’s narration box makes it sound like a rejection to what MM said. However MM feels comfortable visiting Heather in her room which could be seen as a violation of privacy (even between me and good friends I would be upset by someone entering my room uninvited. Though if it is someone I am in a relationship with that doesn’t bug me. Flaw in this logic is I am trying to apply something that is true for me and not necessarily for Heather) and just seems to be a bit more openly affectionate towards Spins. That’s my impression anyways, she was already giving some signs but it seemed like a lot of them were only when Spins wasn’t looking and quicker to hide it while now there does not seem to be any effort to hide it. I guess a lot of that could just be that she feels more comfortable now that she has confessed. It’s also still possible this is dream sequence or some other form of mental impression of how Spins is interpreting MM’s behavior over the last week.

cliche dictates spins couldnt give a proper awnser and MM resorted to pretending it never happened(“just seeing her happy makes me happy” maybe, or something that has the same result). which gives us time to see how spins is feeling about it/dealing with it, so according to cliche we’ll get alot of information/background to heathers personallity/situation before the romance continues. Sahira(i hope that was her name, im not even sure at this point. how could i forget her name? O_o;) will probably get her say/offer advice.

but maybe krow will do something diffrent instead? i sofar have no feel for what will happen, i just know what happened in similar situations in diffrent stories.

      Oh oh…

Heather not answering phone calls… Mecha Maid following her to find out where she lives. Next panel shows Sahira coming in and Mecha Maid holding her at rocket launcher-point saying “Who’s this?! You’ve been cheating on me?!”

    • avatar
      Wolf.Spider said:

well MM knows who Sahira is…Other than that I’m starting to find it funny that because Spins apparently did not answer her phone while she was sleeping just now that they assume Heather has been avoiding her…

I really hoped that this issue would begin with a beat of the drum.
A litte time leap – maybe six months – and the superhero teams standing at the grave of MM, mourning. You really should have taken that opportunity to get rid of MM. XD

    (anyone agreeing? ^^)

But Krow could manage this with some flashbacks during issue 10, in a similar was as with Tiger. Either a nice decent quiet goodbye without pain and sorrows for MM, or a heroic act of self-sacrificing to save the day or the kitty in front of the speeding truck.

hell no!! MM just may be my favorite character after Spinns. I feel she is more then just a supporting cast member to be used up so soon.

    • avatar
      Wolf.Spider said:

Flashbacks don’t have the emotional impact that witnessing the death does. MM is as Shawn said not just a supporting character she is one of the main characters along with Tiger, Spins and Sahira. If anyone of those characters were to die I don’t think we would or should see it in a flash back.

Secondly are you really comparing seeing Tiger’s backstory in a flash back to the death of a major character in a flashback?

well,, it could have been done,,, we see the grave part,, thenwe have one of the canadian hero ask how could that happen and then we have heater say it started: bam we go back to current time and see it happen not realy as flashback,, but full story,,, just a non linear timeline progression,,, but i still wouldnt like it as MM is my fourth favorite webcomic character:
*1;Sidney scoville, aka halo( from grrl power)
*2(close call)) Heather Brown, Aka spinnerette
*3 Zintiel ( from flacky pastry)
*4 Marilyn Seong ,aka Mecha Maid
*5Roomie (from go get a roomie)

Uh, this isn’t really political. Bernie Madoff is a convicted criminal who plead guilty to all the charges against him and there is no serious political debate about whether what he did was wrong or not. There is bipartisan agreement that he violated the trust of thousands of investors for his own illicit gain.

So really he’s just about the perfect real life person to lambast by making them a super villain because there is general agreement that he practically already is one.

Don’t get scared off because you fear the author may disagree with you! Enjoy the comic for what it is!

      @Asura

I didn’t intend to exclude any other individuals that are generally regarded as criminals by pretty much everyone.

I personally agree with you on all of the examples you cited, but I don’t think Bush qualifies as being generally regarded as a criminal because a large population of people, rightfully or wrongfully, think he did nothing wrong.

      syncline said:

      @ Mouthofxenu –

First of all, given the behavior of our previously elected leaders and the clearly held views of the entire world at large, you may want to rethink your concept of what constitutes ‘guilt’. I would suggest to you that the average human on this dirtball we walk on thinks that WE as a nation are out of control cold-blooded murderers who have attacked _an entire nation_ on the basis of revenge against 18 people with box cutters _WHO WERE MOSTLY SAUDI CITIZENS_ and a lie that was cooked up right here at home. Got nukes?

The opinion of most of the world appears to be absolutely right. The families of hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians and more than a few Americans right here at home know where the blame lies.

Fortunately for you and me, guilt isn’t decided by public opinion or a majority vote. It is decided by who has enough power and money, and we as a nation have plenty of those.
Occasionally it is decided by a jury who reviews actual evidence. Too bad everyone who deserves a noose will be long dead before that ever happens.

    • avatar
      mouthofxenu said:

      @syncline

I never said he wasn’t a war criminal. Only that, unlike Bernie Madoff, a large population of people think he did nothing wrong. The only difference of opinion I can see between Democrats and Republicans over Madoff is whether or not he deserves the death penalty.

The man is just about universally regarded as a criminal, whereas you can readily find people (in America at least) that will vehemently argue either way about Bush. That’s why I think having Madoff as a villain is brilliant because there won’t be a significant number of people that will argue against it.

I personally agree with you that Bush has a lot to answer for, but like you said, guilt is not assessed by popular opinion.

2- rushed to super hero hospital, has a week to live
3-moments of emotional and relationship developement
4spinny breaks down, mm tries to reassure her
They look into each others eyes and hug
    Week passes
Mm about to die, lying in hospital spinniy on her left,
holding her hand with her top two eyes teary but not really crying
Tiger standing on the other side looking grim
Moments pass, mm says her final goodbye, closes her eyes,
    Spinny realy starts to cry,
A single, tear lands on mm’s hand/face/youdecide, and is absorbed through skin
Drama ensues etc etc end result mm lives bcause of spinny

Dunno. If you wear glasses long enough, it becomes a general reflex to put them on when you wake up, you don’t really have to think about it. I can’t remember how poor Heather’s eyesight is without them, but if it’s as bad as mine is, she definitely wouldn’t get up without them.
