Sailor Fuku was the retarded cousin of Sailor Moon that everyone humored, but no one talked about.

    • avatar
      Sorcerous Overlord said:

No. Sailor fuku is the proper name for the old-style japanese school uniform that looks like a sailor’s uniform. Thigh-highs are not included, so Oberon was half right. It’s the zettai ryouiki that gets you.

Anyone who was ever a fan of Aikida (and if they still are) knows about lack of updates. Heh. And then there’s the ‘storyline/overhaul shifts’ that happen, and/or the complete change of what he’s doing in the first place. (Sorry, forget the gents name at the moment. I know a lot of people hate him for doing that stuff, and even personally I WOULD like to talk to the man face to face about an ‘issue’ or two (he thinks he’s not very talented art-wise… HA! he needs a whuppin’ ; D) … but hey. I enjoy it when it’s around).

Reminds me of Picatrix when it SUDDENLY STARTED OVER AGAIN. O_o New art and a few new twists, but still jarring as all fuck after a unexplained hiatus of months. Dammit, all this talk of hiatuses reminded me of my dear, sweet Charlie Horse *sniffles*… I miss her sometimes, late at night, when I think about hiatuses. Hmmm… BUT, as Baka would say: BEWBES!! Ah, there, I feel better now.

I just started reading today and I already love it. The art is great, I like the character developement, and the overall theme. I especially love how DC, Marvel, and other such things are present in this world. Adds a new level of interesting.

no problem, better wait one week so yo ucan get in shedule ratehr then have rushed page like in teh last issues of lfg.

    • avatar
      DarkVeghetta said:

Well, lfg used to follow that style a lot more early-on – so maybe we’ll get more humor in it again? I’d actually like that, but it’s probably more along the lines you mention, MortelK.

LFG has just sold out, i am amazed they have managed to go three updates now without richard

      Raiser said:

I’d swat you for the misuse of the term “sold out”, but you’d probably take offense, so I’ll simply clarify for you:

“Selling out” implies that they have stopped doing anything without intent to create merchandise.

I’m fairly certain the events that have occurred over the past year’s worth of updates (if not longer) are in no way a result of Sohmer or DeSouza “selling out”.

    • avatar
      slenkamure said:

sooooo constantly posting new merchandise on their website, soliciting funds from fans to do a tv show (that ended up being used to buy the guys house) and, on;y keeping the comic going so they can earn money off merch from it isn’t selling out?

Alpha Centauri (and it’s expansion Alien Crossfire), it had an extremely complex ecology system coupled with the ability to customize your units and effectively make the battlefield your own on several levels.

Even Civ 5 still isn’t up to par with what Firaxis did with Alpha Cen, and it’s had more than a decade now to try and get it right.

    • avatar
      Chaise Murphy said:

Yeah, I love the customized units you can create in Alpha Centauri. For years it was my favourite game. My only problem with it now is that I’ve played it so much that, even on Transcend level, I win every time. This does not occur with Civ…

Yeah. After talking about it on this forum, I started a game, just for old time’s sake. Miriam just declared vendetta on me, and she has about 20 Laser Infantry in each colony! Aagh!

    FUNDRAISING IDEAS
    GO
    1. http://www.patchtogether.com/
This place can make custom statues if one submits a design and it gets 50+ per-orders
That spinnerette statue from earlier would be awesome. The creator of the comic Wapsi Square has done this at least three time successfully

    2 http://www.squishable.com/?gclid=CN7Hz7qcxK4CFUJN4Aod9XI5TQ
Makers of large voluminous stuffed animal. I bet they could make a pretty spiffy mr. webby if enough people would by it,

I think seeing either of these would be awesome, any other interesting ideas?

    • avatar
      Songbird said:

We’ve actually looked into both options, I just recently got price quotes from Squishable. So excited about the possibilities of new merch, the problem with many options is the upfront costs!

    • avatar
      Corscaria said:

If you are going to make a statuette, any of the 3D printer service can give you exquisite detail with little to no overhead, and no pre-order requirements. i.Materialise, Shapeways, Ponoko, and Sculpteo to name a few.

If you want to avoid upfront costs, several of the ones i mentioned, have “storefronts” or similar services. Which allow you to design the item, and upload it to thier site, and they only ever get made when someone orders one. You set the price, and keep everything over cost. Cost being by mass of source materials.

In addition to statuettes, I reckon you could produce keychains and all sorts of knick knacks and accessories with a 3D printing service. Spinnerette paper clips! Woo!

It just occurred to me: if that rough sketch of Heather in a sailor school uniform made it to the comic, then that means that there’s a large possibility that the rough sketch of Greta and Dr. U at the beach will also make into the comic. Woo-hoo! Fun at the beach!!! Woot-woot-woo!

    • avatar

It is native art. North American. I like the way it is supposed to be a drawing of a wolf but it kinda doesn’t in a way. Suits my nick in a way. :D

      Hmm… I approve of this gravatar. ^_^

      DarkVeghetta said:

Ah, I thought it was a rat; but then again Wolfen’s gravatar always struck me as a rat as well. And just the other day I confused my phone with a grey rat. Raaaats.
But in all seriousness it reminds me of an old show I watched more then 15 years ago, where in one episode they flew to this 2-D world and you could see the insides of everyone, and shadows where solid; also the ppl there where about 10cm high. Trippy stuff.

    • avatar
      wrong wolf said:

He-he! Thank you! Thank you! My gravatar thanks you as well.

@DarkVeghetta: Everything you see seems to remind you of rats. Gasp! You must be suffering from Mickey Mouse Syndrome! Get thee to a Disneyland! The horror of long lines and overcrowding will cure you of that quickly enough. (I know Mickey’s a mouse and not a rat but, tomato, tomato.)
