I hate when people bring up the Marvel Civil War arc. It’s a crappy redundant storyline (Mutant Registration Act) and every reference to it should have someone going nerd rage about bringing it up because it is dumb. It led to Spider-Man making a deal with the Devil and now Spider-Girl doesn’t exist, and Peter Parker is a whiny man-child.
Well, Mattie Franklin died, yes, but that could’ve happened just as easily without the CW. We have Arana taking her place though.
If you think Civil War is bad, you should see the heavily abridged single-volume edition. Sense it did not make, and I doubt most people think that it was the full version and got put off much better comics, like Ultimate Spiderman.
Ultimate Spiderman (aged fifteen) seems like much less of a whiny baby than the much older original version.
I never started to read that arc, so it doesn’t exist for me.
However, Neil Gaiman’s Marvel 1602 was excellent
Gawdammit, am I the only one that actually enjoyed civil war? Granted, the principle wasnt new, but the mutant registration act was more of a recurring theme than a fully developed story arc – also, kinda limited in its context, as cotrolling only mutants and not every other robot/god/demigod/alien around would be pointless. I do admit the ending was lazy though… As for the brand new day thing, meh, they would have done it anyway, they just needed a gwen-stacy-death-like repetition where Peter would feel responsible.

Civil War was indeed crap. There were good moments such as J.J.J.’s reaction in Spiderman (Essentially finding out that Peter Parker, the one guy who he had always thought of as a stand-up guy, had always been laughing at him behind his back. Far better reaction than the crappy strawman in Frontline) but, otherwise, a series that had the potential to get me back into superhero comics, drove me even further away.
Hell, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 handled the whole thing better.

Of course both these women know Tiger so well his every move, every thought, is 100% predictable. I hope that he breaks character and is co-operates and does whatever is needed to help Spinny and MM.
question: ¿does universe even knows that mm has als? because if he dosent then he wouldnt know that he can use mm condition to convince espinnerette to join him

this story is gueting more and more exiting whit every new pic so far a way in how this could end could be that she leaves the lab whit the help of universe and greta because the operation most likeli weaken her to the point were it would be dangerous for her to leave on her own especialy whit the danger of her growing more arms again wen they met whit her friends spinnerette explain everithing to his friends but claiming that she nows that they would never guive the reactor to universe even if its the only hope that she has to survive during that time she grows more arms tiguer feling bad for her decides to push her to the edge by claiming that she cant leave the safehouse out of fear that sombody sees her and call the atouritis because if that hapens she would be dead they would kill her or at least capture her and the goverment would probably use her body for experimentation like for the production of new and stronguer versions of the c-k reactor and that the nex time she sufers a heart attack she will recieve no help because they cant call a doctor not take her to a hospital and because even if they cut her extra arms she will simpli re grow them meaning that they would simpli waste medical suplies that could be use to save other persons life from a treatable illnes insted of wast them in someone who is practicli deat allready so tiguer says that the only thing they cand do is make her las hours as comfortable as posible they even could call sahira to say goodbye to her or she could simpli end her life right now. all so she would fell depresed and scared enough to accep universe ofer because even if he is ling he is spinnerette only hope and by her joining greta and universe side they could use a fight as a way to let them have the reactor whitout raising any red flags and during that time she could even use a diferent suit and name so the public wouldn now that she is espinnerette so once she is cured they can claim that she was being force to work for universe or during that time she could even use a diferent suit and name so the public wouldn now that she is espinnerette so they could claim that the person who aided universe and spinnerette are two totaly diferent persons and the reason why tiguer never said anithing to mm or spinnerette was because he didnt now if universe has some sort of secret agenda so she working whit universe just to double cross him later could have ben riski to her or he had other reasons like the fact that universe has constantli claimed that the goverment will stop at nothing to creat their own army of super soldiers that whill do everithing that they say theres even a video who proves that but people consider universe a vilain and tiguer dosent trust him so if someone like spinnerette joins their side and later on claims that they are doing something god like tring to stop a goverment agent from kidnaping inocent people to work for them to create super soldiers or something similar they would probabli aid them because tiguer is no idiot he must know the c-k reactors origins and that the goverments will stop at nothing to creat there own army of super soldiers that will obey any order whitout making questions regardles of ther accions and if they succed they could see the other superheroes as troubles because if they sent ther super soldiers to do somthing bad and a super hero finds out they would probabli try to stop them so once they are able to mass produce super soldiers they could sent them to capture and kill the superheroes to experiment on them to develop new ways to increase the power of their super soldiers after all seing how this story is turning out y dont think that universe will not be the final villain to fight more like it will be someone frome their own goverment who wants tho guet higher in the food chain or poses some secret agenda that not even their own goverment nows and there is also the fact that dr lamba had the c-k reactor in his posesion which means that he was in posesion of somthing ilegal and everybody saw it and yet it dosent sem that he is in trouble or the goverment has even nock at his dorr which could mean that he is hiding something from the public and her asistant he could perfectli be working whit the goverment after since the first issue that guy has extrike as odd like if hes hiding something and it has also guiven me a norman osborn or wilson fisk vibe he apears as a good person in public but in secret he is a terrible person ploting things behind everybodys backs im ceartain that its only a mather of time before he apears as a villain

No, it’s OK. Jose has put some serious thought into this arc. Some of his reasoning makes me sad for our Spinny but he does have some good insights.

Yeah, this arc is exciting, I can see that you see that, but this out-pouring of your thoughts is disconcerting for our readers. You’ve made some good (and terribly sad) points, but you need to keep your posts short. Short. OK?

Yeah, looks to me that Jose got some ideas and I was interested to see what they were but I just couldn’t get through the wall of text.

or if you want one post break it donut in to bullets or an least multiple sentence, with period and comas to break up the text. I know for me it relay wasn’t how long your post was man, it just it so continuous people can’t get a break while trying to read it

One of Spinny’s benefits from the spider bite is very high pain tolerance,

The release of stress on her heart stopped her from having a heart attack. DaemonCaptrix made a good point – surgery hurts. Big time. Spinny is lucid and coherent so she isn’t doped up, therefore her natural abilities are cancelling out the pain.
also it was establish earlier on in the comic that she has accelerated healing
But… what about all the shoulder-blades?!? There should be seven pairs rolling up and down her back, for crying out loud her back must be plated like a suit of armor!

I like this complex ethical dilemma and it has real world complications to it. Kudos. Make me proud.
I’m back… I’ve still yet to find dr. universe goggles… and gosh dang it I want them! I wouldn’t mind functional ones but even just some that look exactly like them would be adequate. I’ve looked at the steampunk goggles that Armeisce recommended I take a look at but they’re just not close enough. If I had a 3D printer I would take every page with doctor universe on it and use them as reference for a 3D model to print but sadly I can not afford a 3D printer. Someone… Lets make this happen!
I’m a DC fan and I started getting into Marvel only when the Civil War and surrounding arcs were made. It not only consisted of the ENTIRE Marvel Universe, but also finally entered Marvel into the Dark Age of Heroes. DC already finished the Dark Age and since Top Cow also came to an end Marvel needed to do its Dark Arcs as well. It did and I’m glad it did because now a new Age of Heroes can come about since the DAoH has finished up. This is a time when Webcomics and Comics both can enter into the new Age – they already have but we haven’t given a name to this new Age yet.
The only problem I have is that Marvel is the only company that’s still moving forward. DC is now just rewriting everything when it SHOULD be telling us about superheroes during the time of Batman Beyond. Also, Top Cow has no fresh content since the Artifacts Saga ended and that’s ticking me off since it’s my favorite comic company. Spinnerette, Grrl Power, and all the other Webcomics series are starting the new Age but the main Comics are barely doing anything IF they’re doing anything at all.
I believe the Civil War Arc was necessary for Marvel’s continuity – it gave the MU a distinction from the other superhero Universes – and it also allowed Marvel to keep going into the future while the other companies are stuck on either the present or the past.
Technically the law can’t be wrong…it IS the LAW…now laws can be changed, and disagreed with…but technically they can not be wrong…
Tiger as Drunken Idiot Stark in an event I hate with a passion? That’s just cruel. Somewhat accurate,but cruel. I would. It’s (and I can’t believe I’m typing this) (ahem) “For the greater good.” (Hot Fuzz reference! XD)
